In 1986, Carol Jennings, a young teacher from Nottingham, writes a letter to a professor studying the cause of Alzheimer’s at St Mary’s University, London. That letter not only transforms research into the disease, leading to a series of scientific breakthroughs, it also ultimately shapes the future of her own family.
