Why is there so much TV about dogs and virtually none about cats? After all there are almost as many cats as there are dogs in UK. Cat fanatic David Baddiel redresses the balance in this three-part series celebrating Britain’s underrepresented felines.
Featuring famous cat lovers including Ricky Gervais, Jonathan Ross, Lou Sanders and Josh Widdicombe, non-cat lover Frank Skinner and of course, a host of the nation’s best loved cats providing cuteness and entertainment in equal measure. The series proves once and for all that whilst cats aren’t always easy to film with – but they do make excellent television.
Over the course of the series David meets Larry the Downing Street cat, along with Winston the so-called ugliest cat on the internet, dips his toe into the world of cat shows and meets some remarkable rescue moggies. He challenges the notion that cats aren’t a guy thing, meets some lifesaving cats and explores the ways we can honour our feline family members. He also tries is best to cope with the unbearable tension endured by felines seeking to be triumphant at the nation’s foremost cat show.
